About The Plant

Semi-outdoor plant. Huge, fiddle-shaped, glossy, dark green leaves adorn this attractive, shapely tree. It’s a great container plant for both indoor and outdoor use, and it makes a great shade tree for coastal gardens. It is native to western Africa, where it grows in lowland tropical rainforests from Cameroon to Sierra Leone.

Plant Care

Sunlight: Indoors in a medium to bright position, or outdoors in a bright spot away from direct sunlight. Do not place under direct sunlight as the leaves will burn. Turn the plant occasionally so all the growth does not occur on one side.

Watering: Water weekly. Allow soil to dry slightly between waterings.

Fertiliser: Apply granular fertiliser or liquid fertiliser every few weeks.

Soil: Moist, rich & well-drained
